Well nothing to write home about except complain about it in my blog.
I’ve been playing the worse stretch of poker this year in my opinion. I’m not sure whether it’s bad luck or bad play and I suspect a little of both (probably mostly bad play).
I’m playing my league tourneys this weekend and can’t seem to get it together. The players I’m playing against are bad, and I’m being kind. They’ll call preflop bets with any two cards and I can’t seem to get them off their hands.
I get QQ and i raise, I get two callers, one a short stack. Flop is 3 low cards. I push, short stack calls with A/8 off suit. He has nothing on the flop but calls anyway. Ace on the river.
Him: I knew the Ace was coming!
I ask him why just call with a short stack? Why not go all in? I mean [...]
